Old school kinda place. Not too busy on a Smokey Sunday Morning. Got seated right away and looked through the long menu. Got Peters special omelette that included ground beef, mushroom, spinach, garlic. Lots of crispy hash brown and a plate of pancakes. Way more than I could eat. Good thing I brought a friend. And we still could not finish it. Service was fast. Coffee was good. Orange juice not fresh squeezed but so it goes.
Fantastic customer service, without being over bearing. Simply a wonderful experience. Good was good, some decent beers on tap, and a great down home diner feel. Every neighborhood deserves a place like Peter's Cafe.
Fast service, good selection of breakfast, sandwiches, regular prices.
Very comfy shop.. So good coffee and freshly baked goods. Sandwiches was so great. staff here was awesome and well trained.
Wow, real hand dipped whole Onion Rings!!!!Quaint, nostalgic diner right out of the early 60s, complete with vinyl seats and whopping large Milkshakes. Looks closed and out of biz from the outside, and dated but nice on the inside, but the speedy and pleasant service are a welcome treat.
Decent diner food. Service is average. Classic diner booth seating is one of the best features. Convenient location to Millbrae BART/Caltrain station. I recommend this business
Possibly the best place to get breakfast in the peninsula. Food is amazing. Everyone is friendly. You never feel neglected or like you have to hunt down a server. The old muscle car theme at the entrance makes it that much cooler.
Pricey...but you get a lot of food for the money. I had the Farmer's Omlet with spicy sausage, hash browns, a side of french toast (one piece) and a latte. Delicious. The food was absolutely delicious. Came out fast and tasted wonderful. Latte was well sized and was also on point. The restaurant has that older, nostalgic, diner feel...which I like. While a dated look is maintained everything is clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I did not sit for any length of time without being attended to. Once I had my food they left me be to enjoy. Cleared my plates when I was done and only brought my check after I had finished my latte. A great breakfast spot and I highly recommend it.
This is one of the oldest restaurant in Millbrae. Good tradition American diner restaurant. I have eating here for the past 10 years and always craving their nice meal. Heard they are gonna closed due to city project but hopefully they can find another place to continue serve.
This legacy diner on the peninsula is a wonderfully diverse eatery with a huge menu.
Service was ok, multiple times had to ask for more water when someone walked by because they didnt notice it was empty. The "German baby" breakfast was good.
The food is decent, but the charming atmosphere and friendly service make it worth coming here.
The people and the food were nice
Home fries are delicious
A genuine fine. Real diner food, cooked to perfection, served by a friendly Staff. make your own breakfast sausage here, along with a bunch of other things, and it's all good. Real good
Good food good service good people good parking. What else can you ask for? Love that its Asian American owned! You have my full support!
They serve a pretty big breakfast. You can’t really screw up on breakfast anyway. Service was good and fast. Best part was the convenience of being so close to a BART station which was Milbrae.
From the first time I came to peters cafe I fell in love with the place. The food is amazing and reasonably lyft priced for the area... Anything you get from peters you will taste the freshness, it's real food!!! You'll leave full and you leave satisfied... you'll want to bring everyone here and if not you'll brag about it
Just had a warm drink here. The staff are kind. It is just a ~10 minutes drive from San Francisco airport.
If you’re in to old school diners with real food, not the frozen stuff, then this is your place to eat. I had the meat lasagna special. It came out hot with a sliced hoagie roll buttered and toasted. On the side was a generous helping of steamed broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, and squash. Hit the spot! Oh yeah, and apple pie...
When you enter this place you are back in the 50s . A cozy place. We had a breakfast . Food is good and service fast.
Just had the most amazing Monte Cristo here at Peter's! Can't be beat! Quick service, friendly staff and great food!
Good place to grab a quick bite. Nice staff and prices are ok.
Really good customer service and they bring plenty of food for breakfast. I would definitely come back here.
Mom and Pop's old school comfort food diner you don't see a lot now. Location! Location! Location! It is right by the exit of Millbrae Bart and Cal train station and 3 minutes Bart ride to SFO terminal. Great place to get homemade comfort food before the trip or going on a long flight. It used to open 24 hours, new hours but still open late.
Delightful combinations with large portions.
Really good place with a vibe of old school dining place. Wonderful friendly staff. I do Vito here for coffee whenever I change my trains at Caltrain station. Wonderful place. And yes they have clean nice restrooms too :)
The food here is amazing! Great service as well. This is a place I'd come back to time and time again. In fact, I really did have dinner here yesterday as well as today. It's such a treat to have found such an amazing, authentic place
Great little hole in the wall restaurant! The breakfast is delicious! Highly recommend the omelets. Parking was tough, wait was a little long, but worth it. Highly recommend!
If you have to wait for the train at Millbrae this is the perfect spot for for it. Good coffee, excellent food, quick service, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg - just your pinky 😉
The meals and service were ahead of my expectations. I truly liked the environment of this spot. Fantastic place to take my family out for dinner.
One of the best dinner place in San Mateo. The breakfast is highly recommended and you can get pancakes instead of toast!
Came in this morning, wanting to try a new place, staff was friendly, not too crowded, fast service food was good! Made the way we like it!Had the Italian breakfast and the corn beef hash with pancakes yum😋
The food here is so good, and there are great options if you're on a low carb diet like me. Hubby got the loco moco (NOT low carb), I got the Farmer's omelette with a side of hollandaise sauce and tomatoes. The service is excellent. They refilled my tea three times, and they give you your own pot of coffee. Love Peter's!
Great breakfast spot before heading to the airport. Food was Americana diner executed to perfection - unassuming, simple, delicious. The two-egg and bacon/sausage special was served with two fluffy buttermilk pancakes and a cup of fresh fruit. Service was warm, welcoming, attentive. Will be back here again.
Never been to the place. It's down the street from the Millbrae skatepark. It's a cool place. Very old school inside I like that they serve beer. I ordered eggs benedict. I really liked that they poach two eggs very soft. Because a lot of places screw it up and make them hard. The whole point of poached egg is to be soft. So they nailed it in my book. Everyone was very friendly. I like how When customers came in they knew them by first name. Very close to the Millbrae. Train station right off El Camino The breakfast was an outstanding, but it wasn't bad. If you're looking for a quiet breakfast. I definitely recommend this place. There's a lot of bad reviews about theft and stuff. I don't know much about that. But anywhere in the Bay Area. People Rob so I don't know what that has to do with anything. Keep up the good work.
Nice people, good food and a free singing of happy birthday to me.
Peter offers a welcoming, clean diner with good food and fair prices. He is polite and funny, and orders arrive hot and on time.
Decent breakfast place next to the milbrae station. I'd definitely check this place out if you need a quick bite while waiting for your next ride. The food is good, but not amazing. The prices are decent too. I liked the server because she was super helpful!
Peter's is excellent! I have been going their for years. The owners are fabulous!
This was quite an experience, I was excited to try this place out and got a few things out of it. We tried a few meals; I found that the fried food had the same lingering after taste, made me wonder when was the last time they changed out there cooking oil. There hand made parties were good, a bit thick for my taste but good none the less. We tried the pancakes and they were fluffy and delicious! We ordered more! So for the pancakes alone, I would go back there.
Traditional cafe style feel. Peter, the owner, is always smiling and welcoming. Ive been going there for years with my son and they always comment how old and handsome he's getting. Portions are perfect for price. Not too small. Very tasty and they ALWAYS get my eggs right!!
Service was excellent and fun.Food was decent but just normal diner food.
Good location, friendly staff, good food, huge portions
Old fashioned diner. Very comfortable with good service and reasonable prices.
Peter's Cafe is always a great place to eat, the staff is friendly and personable. Hours have been reduced and are posted on their website. Convenient location in Millbrae.
Good good and nice owner whom is from Taiwan!
Good food and many different selections. Crabcake Benedict was excellent
I had an awesome time in this place. We liked the nice ambience and the food. The waiters were very attentive. I’m happy we eventually decided to try this place.
A delicious homey place to eat, dine, and relax. They have a diverse array of customers, great service, and really nice old-fashioned decor. The tuna salad was tasty but not presented well. But the decaf coffee was decent and delightful.
